WHAT TO WEAR UNDER YOUR SPAGHETTI STRAP DRESS

Summer is here and we’ve packed away our winter clothes and have brought out our summer wear and colorful Hawaiian dress. But one question I am often asked is how to comfortably wear minimal clothing when you are larger on top. For those of us with a fuller figure, fuller top, or just nursed a baby or two we have no option of going without a bra. So what are some of our choices?

1. Of course one option is a strapless bra. Calvin Klein makes the “Perfectly Fit Strapless Bra” which has received great reviews. People have said it is the perfect fit just as it is so called. Victoria's Secret has the Body by Victoria Multi-Way Bra. It has a memory fit and conforms to your curves for added comfort. I have not tried either of these but they are on my list to try because I have yet to find a comfortable strapless bra.
2. Another option is a bandeau bra. This style is similar to a tube top because it doesn’t have a hook closure. You just slip it on over your head and adjust it like a tube top. I have found this style to be more comfortable than a strapless bra BUT being a little larger on top it did not give me the support I needed. It is worth trying different styles from different manufacturers to see if one will work for you.
3. The final option is a bra with clear straps. This style works well for the larger bust women who need a lot of support on top. The clear straps are not as visible and having a bra with the straps will provide all-day support and comfort. The downside, you can still see the straps as they are not completely invisible and since many are made of plastic they can make you sweaty or you could have a reaction if your skin is sensitive to plastic materials.

My personal favorite out of these three choices has been the bra with clear straps. They give me the support I need and are inconspicuous enough to wear under your spaghetti-strap dresses. However, if I am wearing a strapless dress or top then I wear a strapless bra as I think it looks a little silly to be wearing plastic straps with a strapless top.
